Kyree Walker and Shermar Morrow: Best 2020 Duo

Kyree Walker and Shemar Morrow form the BEST backcourt in the Nation:

The Oakland Soldiers 2020 Class has arguably the best team in the nation when fully assembled.  They took home the 2015 2020 NYBL Championship in grand fashion with a total team effort.  They are led by the nation’s best backcourt, First team all-NYBL selections and Co-MVP’s of the NYBL, dynamic duo: Shemar Morrow and Kyree Walker.

Kyree Walker is a 6-4 athletic, solid built Magic Johnson type of point guard.  Mentally tougher and more skilled than most at this stage, he sees the entire court, utilizes his body and physicality well and plays with a lot of passion and flair.  His shot has improved tremendously all the way out to three, and his athleticism has improved to the point it’s almost scary.  Learning to set the table for his teammates, he does a good job of running the pick and roll game.  Walker possesses ELITE play-making abilities and can score when called upon to do so.  As he continues to learn to compete on both sides of the ball consistently taking no plays off, his potential to grow coupled with his work ethic could one day down the line help him develop into a big time pro prospect.

Shemar Morrow is a 6-4 long and athletically built freak specimen.  Already built like a proto-typical college shooting guard, there aren’t many in the 2020 Class that can run or jump with Morrow.  He has an equally impressive skill set to match.  His lefty release out to three is picture perfect and his range extends beyond NBA already.  Morrow’s lateral quickness, ability to change directions and finishing ability in traffic and above the rim are what make him one to continue to watch.  At this point he reminds us a lot of a young Andrew Wiggins and as he learns to compete hard on the defensive end every possession and play harder in general, we could be looking at a race for the top player in the Class once again headed by Morrow!

Look for both of these ELITE talents to be regular fixtures and stars one day on the EYBL playing for the historic Oakland Soldiers program.  Both players will definitely contend for the #1 spot nationally for years to come.  Who is better?  At times each player looks dominate in their own right!  They are both tremendously unselfish and complement each other so well.  They are both extremely gifted and talented, each have environments that will nurture and cultivate their talents and they both have high major Division 1 and Pro potential.  No matter how you slice it, they form the Nation’s most deadly duo and backcourt in the 2020 Class!  Check out this highlight video from the NYBL Championship weekend in Ohio courtesy of His Will Be Done (HWBD):
